Art History Portfolio Showcase

The Art History Senior Portfolio Showcase celebrates the culmination of our graduating seniors’ academic journey, featuring original, in-depth research that reflects their dedication, critical thinking, and scholarly growth. Throughout their senior year, students engage in extensive academic research, develop a focused and original thesis, write a comprehensive twenty-page scholarly paper, and prepare a formal twenty-minute oral presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. These rigorous academic requirements challenge students to analyze complex art historical topics, synthesize diverse sources, and communicate their ideas with clarity and confidence. At the showcase, students translate their research into visually engaging, poster-based presentations that make sophisticated concepts accessible to a broad audience. This professional-format experience prepares students for future academic conferences, graduate studies, museum work, and other professional settings.
